New Year resolutions are good. They are an expression of an admiration to become a better you in the forthcoming year. As we turn to a New Year, here are a few New Year resolutions ideas to consider:
Schedule Routine Medical Check-ups
Statistics has it that most men do not attend routine medical check-ups unless they fall seriously ill. In the New Year, we challenge both men and women to consider scheduling regular medical check-ups. The importance of which cannot be overstated.
Exercise Regularly
According to Dr. Morton E. Tavel,[1] the positive benefits of exercise extend far beyond just physical fitness. Exercise promotes positive attitude, increases tolerance to pain and of course keeps your weight on check.
Become an avid Reader
Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. If you are not one already, in the New Year resolve to become a consistent avid reader.
Become a better time manager
Time is the most valuable resource given to each one of us in equal measure. Passing your time casually is irresponsible and should be dealt away with. The trick is to do whatever is most important and urgent first, then the less important things afterwards or delegate them to others altogether.
Be Bolder
Consider being bold this coming year. Start that dream business, take that course you’ve always wanted to and disapprove yourself to all doubts.
Lastly, while I strongly believe in making New Year resolutions, I do not think it’s the only time to make positive resolutions. Monitor your progress throughout the year and should there be a need to rethink your resolutions or make new ones, go for it.
